TME – Transfer Multisort Elektronik – The TME catalogue has just been expanded to include the SurLok Plus™ series of power connectors from Amphenol. They are perfect for power supply systems handling direct current ranging from 120 A to 300 A, in a wide range of fields, e.g. home energy storage systems, EVs, self-driving vehicles and a number of industrial applications.

The SurLok Plus™ series is designed for handling high DC voltages: 1000 V or 1500 V (depending on the model). Their plastic bodies ensure improved security of connection, as they protect technicians and maintenance specialists from accidentally touching the contacts (to some extent, even during installation). After it is mated with the socket, the plug is locked with a latch mechanism, which can be released by pressing a button. Therefore, unplugging the socket is simple and does not require using a lot of force. The connectors exhibit mechanical durability of over 100 cycles, meeting the requirements of most applications.

Apart from impressive electrical parameters, the products boast a high IP rating (IP67) and a wide thermal tolerance ranging from -40°C to 105°C (1 kV models) or 125°C (1.5 kV models).

The SurLok Plus™ sockets are enclosed in housings designed for panel mounting (with flanges featuring four mounting holes). They are equipped with a screw terminal at the rear part. The plugs, on the other hand, are intended for cable mounting. They come in straight and right-angled variants. Thanks to their inline design, once mated, the connectors can be freely rotated 360°.
