New Crouzet time and pulse counters
New Crouzet time and pulse counters
TME – Transfer Multisort Elektronik – Electromechanical and electronic modules from a proven supplier.
Controlling the time and intensity of machine operation is a crucial aspect of maintaining entire industrial plants. It allows for the estimation of equipment wear and also aids in process optimization. Crouzet brand counters effectively record basic operating parameters and are distinguished by their excellent durability.
In this text, we present an overview of the Crouzet range in terms of work time and pulse counters. This renowned brand delivers products widely used in global markets and enjoys customer trust. It is worth noting that a significant portion of the models presented below are new additions to the TME offer. They expand our range of industrial modules from Crouzet – primarily in the area of electromechanical pulse counters.
In this article, we discuss topics such as:
- Parameters and versions of work time counters
- Electromechanical and electronic pulse counters
Work Time Counters
Crouzet work time counters are available in many variants, adapted to diverse parameters of installations and devices in which they will operate. The TME offer includes models designed for AC power from 4V to 264V and DC power from 4V to 80V DC. This covers most of the typical values used in the industry. The assortment includes counters installed on DIN rails (typically in a distribution cabinet), as well as models for panel mounting, e.g., as machine components. Most of the counters presented are electromechanical models. These are solutions still very commonly encountered – primarily due to their reliability, durability, wide compatibility, and ease of application. Some Crouzet products additionally feature high IP52 protection class, i.e., complete resistance to dust and protection against moisture, and are capable of operating in temperatures from -15°C to 50°C. Available models have multi-digit indicators, allowing for counting time periods up to 1 million hours.

A separate subcategory of work time counters groups electronic versions, i.e., implemented using digital circuits. Here, the display is presented using a liquid crystal display. Buyers have a choice of versions with voltage input (10…260V AC/DC) or transistor input (NPN or PNP). A significant advantage of such modules is their tightness (IP65 class from the front), compact dimensions, and wide ranges of electrical parameters. A lithium-ion battery, which lasts for 8 years of operation, supports the maintenance of measurements.
Pulse Counters
Similar to work time counters, Crouzet pulse counting modules are also offered in electromechanical and electronic versions. The former count in the range of 100 thousand or 1 million (5- or 6-digit indicator). Depending on the model, they can handle voltages from 24V to 230V AC and from 24V to 110V DC with a counting frequency reaching even 25 pulses per second. Products are available in several sizes, with bodies designed for panel mounting, in white and black colors. Electrical connections are made using universal screw terminals.

Electronic versions of pulse counters have a separate subgroup where the signal frequency can be automatically converted to speed. These devices are powered by mains voltage (230V AC) and have voltage or transistor inputs (NPN, PNP). They are equipped with backlit displays and two operating modes: progressive and reversible. Of course, electronic models are characterized by a much higher maximum input signal frequency, which can reach 40kHz. Settings are made using buttons located on the front of the housing, where LOCK and RESET buttons are also found.
